Fire at Malibu

Chronicles the Los Angeles (California) County Fire Department's fight against a fire in the Newton Canyon area of the Malibu Mountains on December 26, 1957. The fire covered 26,000 acres before containment and involved 2,000 men fighting it over three days and night. The effects of Santa Ana winds on a wildfire are dramatically illustrated. -

Er... I'm pretty sure this fire started on December 26, 1956... not 1957.
The audio used in this video is excerpted from a CBS Radio Workshop episode titled "Fire at Malibu" which aired on January 20, 1957 and was written by William N. Robson.
Also, that date is supported by a story in the "Malibu Times" dated November 21, 2007 titled "A brief history of Malibu wildfires".
Very nice video, though. I also recommend listening to the original radio dramatization.
